ABOUT GREG BAILEY

Greg Bailey, APR, Fellow PRSA, is the founder and principal of G.Bailey & Co., a strategic communications consultancy that helps leaders navigate complex communication and reputational decisions with clarity, credibility and experienced judgment.

With 47 years in journalism and public relations, Greg brings a perspective shaped by newsrooms, agency life and the hard lessons of counsel that works—and counsel that doesn't. He began his career at the Nashville Banner, spending 12 years in editorial roles before serving as managing editor of the Nashville Business Journal. That journalism foundation informs everything he does: how reporters think, what editors kill, and why most stories never get told.

His PR career has spanned agency ownership, partnership and solo practice. He was a founding partner of Katcher Vaughn & Bailey Public Relations, where he counseled organizations including AARP, PhRMA, Pfizer and the Office of Nashville Mayor Karl Dean. His advisory work has touched nearly every sector—pharmaceutical, healthcare, education, banking, nonprofit, affordable housing and transit—supporting organizations facing complex business and public-policy challenges.

Greg is an accredited member of the Public Relations Society of America, a member of its College of Fellows, and served as chair of the College in 2021. He is a past president of the Rotary Club of Nashville and has served on the boards of Belcourt Theatre, the Nashville Civic Design Center and Oasis Center, among others. He is a graduate of Leadership Nashville and Leadership Middle Tennessee.
